Naloxone reverses an opioid overdose since many substances are now laced with Fentanyl. Narcan can take effect 30 to 45 seconds after administering and could save a life when administered and then calling 911.

The person administering Narcan is protected by Good Samaritan laws. It has been FDA approved for over-the-counter sales, and processes are underway to label and sell it over the counter.
